Maintenance of our landscape is the most important step in keeping your property and neighborhood fire-wise and sustainable. We can achieve a beautiful, biodiverse, energy-saving and water- and fire-wise landscape in Sonoma County.
Come learn how to preserve and even enhance wildlife habitat, improve soil and increase water retention, while keeping your property and neighborhood fire-wise and sustainable through proper maintenance techniques.
Pruning, irrigation, mulching, composting and other maintenance techniques will be covered. Also, what to do on Red Flag Warning Days.
We will focus on sustainable practices for summer and the transition to fall in the landscape.
This workshop will be available in English and Spanish. Please indicate your preference for Spanish at registration.

El mantenimiento de nuestro paisaje es el paso más importante para mantener su propiedad y su vecindario a salvo de incendios y sostenibles. Aprenda las técnicas adecuadas para cortar el césped, podar, aplicar mantillo y hacer abono.
Venga a aprender cómo preservar e incluso mejorar el hábitat de la vida silvestre, mejorar el suelo y aumentar la retención de agua, al mismo tiempo que mantiene su propiedad y su vecindario a prueba de incendios y sustentables mediante técnicas de mantenimiento adecuadas.
Se abordarán técnicas de poda, riego, acolchado, compostaje y otras técnicas de mantenimiento. Además, se explicará qué hacer en los días de alerta roja.
Nos centraremos en prácticas sostenibles para el verano y la transición al otoño en el paisaje.
Este taller estará disponible en inglés y español. Indique su preferencia por el español al registrarse.
