The Resilient Landscapes Coalition is hosting a FREE, bilingual Four Part webinar series on creating a fire-wise landscape in the Defensible Space zone and beyond, while at the same time enhancing biodiversity and wildlife habitat, and conserving resources.

This four part, one hour per week, workshop series will allow plenty of time for questions and discussion, and will provide:

Part 4 – Jennifer Roberts, Community Education Specialist & Landscape Designer, UCCE Master Gardener Program of Sonoma County & Native Habitats Landscape Design will be presenting on Maintenance in the Defensible Space Zone

Discover how you can make your home and the landscape beyond it fire resilient with a science-based approach including:

• Recommendations for fire-wise landscaping maintenance techniques in the 0-5’, 5-30’, and 30-100’ defensible space zones.

• Tips on how and when to engage in pruning, irrigation, mulching, composting and other maintenance techniques for fire resiliency.

• Actions to take on Red Flag Warning Days.

• Practical ways to achieve a beautiful, biodiverse, energy-saving and fire-wise landscape.

• Resources for how to move forward with your landscape and community.

Each workshop will be accompanied by fire official Roberta MacIntyre, Board President and CEO of Fire Safe Sonoma.
